At Risk Youth

Desert View provides counseling at low to no cost for "at risk" youth--children/adolescents who show usual levels of acting out, anger, aggression, mood swings, depression and sadness.

Sexual Assault Services

Desert View Family Counseling offers a support service for women and men who have been sexually abused at any time in their lives, or for anyone who wants to talk about the effects of any unwanted sexual encounter.

Sexually Reactive Youth

Desert View provides sexual education as well as early intervention for youth with disruptive and agressive sexual behaviors.

Substance Abuse

At Desert View we treat teens and adults with chemical and alcohol dependency by focusing on the person, not the addiction. Our goal is to help you begin healing from emotional barriers that go with the addiction. We will give you specialized treatment in an environment where you can be yourself.

Teen Court

Teen Court assigns constructive consequences that are designed to help the defendant learn from their mistakes.

Each sentence includes a mandatory Basic Training Workshop, which focuses on responsible decision-making, accountability and juvenile laws. Letters of apology are also assigned and defendants are to return to serve on the jury for minors referred to the program in the future.

Desert View is partially funded by San Juan United Way, Farmington New Mexico.

Requirement for Services : Social security number and Medicaid information (If applicable) are required for intake. Desert View accepts Medicaid, private insurance and utilizes an income based sliding fee scale.

We also have funding from various grants available. Sources of Funding : DOH-BHSD (Department of Health Behavioral Health Services Division) CYFD (Children's Youth and Families Department), CBH (Children's Behavioral Health-Optum Health), VOCA (Victims of Crime Act) and SJUW (San Juan United Way).
